Scoring 86/100 Parker points and from the good 1997 vintage, this lovely red wine from the famous Chapoutier House "The serious 1997 Crozes-Hermitage Les Meysonniers (about 30% of this cuvee was aged in barrique and the remainder in tank) exhibits a mineral-dominated, herb-tinged cassis character, spicy, medium-bodied flavors, and an excellent finish with good ripeness, glycerin, and length." Drink now - 2009. A marvellous gift.
