Scoring 85-6/100 Parker points and from the outstanding 1996 vintage, "Coudoulet's 1996 Cotes du Rhone Blanc, with 30% Viognier in the blend, is a nicely-textured, round, richly fruity wine with evidence of toasty new oak, but the dominant characteristic is Viognier's honeysuckle/apricot-like fruit. In addition to the Viognier, most vintages include 30% Bourboulenc, 30% Marsanne, and 10% Clairette. The 1996 exhibits fine texture, without the annoyingly high acidity found in many wines of this vintage" Drink now - 2009.
