This lovely Red wine from the very good 1987 vintage takes its name from a small orange flower which is very common in Chianti. Anagallis is currently produced with Sangiovese (80%) Colorino (5%) and Merlot (15%) grapes grown in the "le Piagge" ,"la Ripa" and "Vignacatena" vineyards which enjoy southerly and easterly exposure, situated at altitudes between 290 and 330 metres above sea level. The wine is a deep ruby red and is ethereal, pervasive and complex with a bottom note of vanilla. It is full, harmonious and slightly tannic, with along finish. Drink now - 2016. A wonderful 25th anniversary gift.
