From the outstanding 1998 vintage and scoring 87/100 Parker points, "The 1998 Cotes du Rhone Villages Rasteau (70% Grenache and 30% Mourvedre) offers chocolate along with rustic tannin, and a stemmy, tree bark characteristic that undoubtedly comes from the Mourvedre component. Dense, with good fatness and ripeness, it is a structured, rustic, earthy style of Cotes du Rhone that should drink well for 5-6 years." Drink now - 2014.
