From the good 1998 vintage and scoring 92-94/100 Parker points, "This is the finest Beau-Sejour-Becot I have ever tasted. A saturated purple color is followed by a sumptuous nose redolent with smoked herbs, new oak, cherry liqueur, roasted coffee, chocolate, and copious black fruits. Full-bodied and huge, with massive concentration, excellent balance, and moderate tannin in the structured, rich, powerful finish, this 1998 will be at its finest between '03-2017."
