Against a background, the color of green vine leaves, there are strange shaped birds, reminiscent of those found in Coptic bas-reliefs or on Indian totem poles. These birds will never be caught in a net, ready to soar heavenwards, knowing no constraints or obstacles, carrying the universal message of the Champagne they embody, a message of charm and joy.
The 1990 wines are powerful, well-structured and rich in aromas, yet fresh on the palate. With such a balanced structure, this most characteristic vintage should last extremely well. The Taittinger Collection Corneille was produced from 50% Chardonnay grapes and 50% Pinot Noir, mostly from Taittinger's own production from the best vineyards in Champagne. Drink now - 2031. The 1990 vintage in the Champagne region was outstanding with pefect conditions for vintage Champagne. The region was affected by frosts in April and the Spring was cool, but the a long hot dry summer created a large crop of perfect grapes.

What is your returns policy? Should the wine be corked it must be returned to our cellars, in the original packaging and original condition within one year from the date of purchase for a replacement. Should the particular wine not be available another wine of no lesser price/quality may be substituted. We will only replace the original corked bottle and not any subsequent bottle that may also be corked. If the replacement bottle is to be shipped outside the UK a new delivery charge is payable. Our corkage policy does not apply to trade sales and for customers connected with the wine trade.
