What a year! Bordeaux had stunning weather and produced a stunning vintage. It was a good vintage for Red Burgundy and outstanding for white Burgundy. It was also an outstanding vintage in the Cote du Rhone. In Portugal, the Tawny (Colheita) Ports that were produced are excellent but no vintage port was made. Italy had a very good vintage, especially for Barolo.
